Zusammenfassung:Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication that support entry into a fast negative acknowledgement (NACK) mode are described. A user equipment (UE) may enter a fast NACK mode and may reduce the value of a respective timer for one or more wireless connections (e.g., may independently cover the timer for each connection). The timer may be referred to as retransmission request duration. If two or more component carriers (CCs) are configured, the UE may determine a value of the timer based on locations of data holes within the two or more CCs. Based on entering the fast NACK mode, the UE may cover the configured timers for the respective wireless connections with new shorter timers.
