Chemical treatment vessel with grid distributor and method of operation thereof

According to one or more embodiments, a chemical treatment vessel may include sidewalls, a floor, a catalyst outlet through the floor, and a grid distributor for distributing fluid. The plate may include a plurality of holes and a central opening extending through a thickness of the plate. The plate may include a catalyst delivery passage extending from a central opening to a catalyst outlet. The catalyst delivery passage may have a larger cross-sectional area at the central opening of the plate than at the catalyst outlet.
