HEAD-MOUNTED DEVICE WITH CONNECTABLE LENS ASSEMBLY

A head-mountable device may include modules that provide vision correction and an operable connection between the modules. By providing a head-mountable device with modular features, certain lens assemblies can provide desired vision correction for any given user and facilitate replacement of different lens assemblies for different users. The lens assembly may identify itself and/or features thereof (e.g., vision correction and/or user identification) via an operable connection through the optical assembly to which it is attached. By providing an operable connection through the optical assembly, the number of components, weight, complexity, and installation procedures can be reduced.
