Zusammenfassung: | The present invention provides a method for generating a 2 [pi] refocusing pulse of a magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and for performing spectral editing of MRS data using differentially customized band-pass editing. For example, the acquisition may be performed using echo plane spectral imaging (EPSI). 2pi refocusing is achieved using chemically shifted selective adiabatic 2pi refocusing pulses without spatially selective (e.g., slice selective) refocusing. A spectrum editing method uses two data sets with different band-pass ("all" and "partial") editing spectrums and takes the difference between the two editing spectrums. The method facilitates 3D spectroscopy with B0 of 7T or higher, and allows whole brain J-coupled metabolite editing (e.g., 2HG or GABA), compared to existing spatially selective methods (e.g., MEGA), substantially reduced specific absorption rate, shorter repetition times, minimal chemical shift artifacts (CDSA), robustness to B0 inhomogeneity, and no difference to B1 + inhomogeneit |
