Zusammenfassung:Compositions for forming sodium ion conductive electrolyte structures are provided, the compositions comprising particles of a sodium ion conductive ceramic in combination with particles of at least one transition metal oxide (e.g., copper, titanium and niobium oxides, or iron oxides, or precursors of these oxides), such that the metal oxide comprises no more than 5% by weight of the weight of the particles. Sodium ion conductive ceramics may have the type referred to as Nascon or [beta] ''-alumina. The metal oxide may comprise no more than 2% by weight of the particles. The metal oxide is used as a sintering aid, so that densification can be realized at a reduced sintering temperature, and meanwhile, no obvious adverse effect is generated on the electrical property of the sintered ceramic.
