A slide supply and storage unit (1) is provided with: a supply unit (10) capable of mounting a plurality of slide trays (2) such that the plurality of slide trays (2) are stacked in the Z direction; and a movement mechanism (TM1) that individually moves the plurality of slide trays (2) mounted on the supply unit (10) in the X direction.
