Method for preventing deadlock situation in product transport system

The invention provides a method and system for preventing a deadlock situation in a product transportation system. The system comprises a number of vehicles, and a central control server designed to control the vehicles, where the central control server comprises a digital representation of a moving area, the digital representation comprising a plurality of consecutive image tiles. The method comprises the following method steps:-receiving a command to move the vehicle,-in response to said command, associating the vehicle with a path of movement,-receiving a request from and/or generating a request for the active vehicle to perform a subsequent step of reserving at least one subsequent image block on the path of movement of the active vehicle; -determining that there is no deadlock situation in the system due to the active vehicle performing subsequent steps.
