The building energy management method comprises the following steps: collecting video information of personnel in a building and energy consumption information of equipment in the building; converting the video information into text information, wherein the text information comprises spatio-temporal information of the personnel; and generating a control signal according to the energy consumption information and the space-time information, wherein the control signal is used for controlling the working state of equipment in the building. According to the method, the video information occupying a large storage space is converted into the text information occupying a small storage space, and the data processing amount and processing precision are improved by adopting a mode of combining cloud self-inspection with the energy consumption data of the equipment in the building, so that the energy consumption adjustment strategy of the e
