The ultrasonic coupling agent comprises the following components in parts by mass: 60-70 parts of malt syrup, 10-20 parts of dextrin and the balance of deionized water. Compared with the existing couplant, the couplant has the following characteristics: (1) the raw materials are convenient to obtain, the preparation process is simple, and the economic cost is low; (2) the product can be stored for a long time and is convenient to carry; (3) the pH value is slightly neutral, and the corrosion effect on instruments is weak; and (4) being nontoxic, odorless, safe and reliable. The novel ultrasonic coupling agent provided by the invention overcomes the defects of traditional engine oil, chemical paste, water glass and the like, ensures economical efficiency, safety and portability, and can be applied to ultrasonic flaw detection.
