Method and device for dynamically personalizing wireless communication device

Various embodiments include methods and devices for dynamically personalizing a wireless communication device. An embodiment method may include analyzing a USIM AID (Application IDs) list contained in a Base File Directory (EF-DIR) of an inserted SIM card to obtain code indicating an IMSI-based, non-IMSI-based, or both-based personalization category. Based on 3G application code in the USIM AID found in the EF-DIR, corresponding personalization categories and values may be retrieved from the ME database. Data required for personalization contained in the inserted SIM card and their values can be compared to personalization categories and values retrieved from a database.
