Transition metal oxalate and a coating agent are dispersed in an alcohol solvent, the transition metal oxalate with the uniformly and firmly coated surface is obtained after a hydrothermal reaction, the transition metal oxalate is mixed with a sodium source and then placed in an air atmosphere to be pre-sintered, the transition metal oxalate is decomposed at high temperature to generate gas, and therefore a porous structure is generated in situ; and then obtaining the modified layered oxide sodium-ion battery positive electrode material by adopting a high-temperature solid-phase method.
