The protective fence comprises a protective fence body, an alarm control device arranged on the protective fence body and a background control device in two-way communication connection with the alarm control device. The alarm control device is used for generating an alternating electric field around the protective fence body, and when an intruder enters an electric field induction area of the alternating electric field, detection information is generated by detecting the variable quantity of the alternating electric field.
