Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses self-referencing single-ended chip-to-chip communication. A system and method for efficiently transferring data in a computing system is envisaged. In various embodiments, a computing system includes a source, a target, and a plurality of lanes therebetween for transferring data. A plurality of receivers in the target have respective terminating resistors connected to a single integrating capacitor that provides a reference voltage to the plurality of receivers. The receivers reconstruct the received data by comparing the corresponding input signals to a reference voltage. The source includes a table storing codewords. The source maps the generated data word to a codeword, which is sent to the target. The target maps the received codeword to a data word. The value of the codeword is selected to maintain the number of Boolean 1 values and the number of Boolean 0 values on the plurality of channels over time almost the same.
