The motor fault detection method comprises the following steps: step (1), collecting working information of a motor; (2) carrying out preliminary fault judgment on the motor; (3) calculating the angular frequency of a motor voltage signal; (4) whether the motor is abnormal or not is judged according to the angular frequency, and if yes, an alarm is given; (5) whether the motor is abnormal or not is judged according to the excitation voltage, and if yes, an alarm is given out; if not, the motor works normally.
