Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method and a system for map matching. An advanced map matching algorithm is disclosed that inherently embeds a road topology in a set of path candidates. The road connectivity can be maintained even in special situations such as U-turn, reverse travel and tunnel. Fine path candidate management is designed to reduce candidate counts while preserving well matched candidates.
