The invention provides a heteroatom-doped carbon material and a preparation method and application thereof, and the preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing a carbon-containing material and a heteroatom-containing compound, and then carrying out microwave treatment in an inert atmosphere to obtain the heteroatom-doped carbon material, wherein the heteroatom-containing compound comprises any one or a combination of at least two of a boron-containing compound, a sulfur-containing compound, a nitrogen-containing compound or a phosphorus-containing compound. According to the method, the heteroatom-doped carbon material is prepared by adopting a microwave method in the inert atmosphere, and the material is enabled to generate heat by using a microwave oven to heat the reaction process, so that rapid reaction is realized, sintering and aggregation of the material can be reduced, uniform dispersion of heteroatom species is facilitated, and the preparation period of the material is shortened. 本发明提供了一种
