A method, computer program and apparatus for a second user equipment are provided that cause the apparatus to perform: determining whether a synchronization signal has been received during a first set of synchronization resources; and determining, when it is determined that the synchronization signal is received, communication resources during which the apparatus is allowed to use a second set of synchronization resources for first sidelink communication; and when it is determined that the synchronization is not received, refraining from using communication resources during the second set of synchronization resources for the first sidelink communication; and detecting a second set of synchronization resources for the synchronization signal. 提供了一种用于第二用户设备的方法、计算机程序和装置，其使得所述装置执行：确定在第一组同步资源期间是否已接收到同步信号；以及当确定接收到所述同步信号时，确定所述装置被允许使用第二组同步资源期间的通信资源用于第一侧链路通信；以及当确定没有接收到同步时，避免使用第二组同步资源期间的通信资源用于第一侧链路通信；以及针对同步信号检测第二组同步资源。
