The research finds that after saline-alkali stress, the HVEL2H37793.2 gene can obviously regulate and control the accumulation level of malic acid in a highland barley resistant variety, so that the saline-alkali tolerance of highland barley is improved. After the gene HVUL2H37793.2 is over-expressed in tobacco, the content of malic acid in tobacco leaves is remarkably increased, and the saline-alkaline tolerance of the tobacco is improved.
