Zusammenfassung: | A lock differential energy management system of a work vehicle includes an axle speed sensor for monitoring a rotational speed of an axle half axle. Axle shafts are connected by a locking differential including a differential clutch mechanism. The processing subsystem is configured to: (i) calculate a differential lock force applied to the clutch mechanism when the lock differential is placed in a locked state, and calculate an inconsistent differential slip speed derived from a rotational speed of the axle half axle; (ii) estimating an internal temperature of the clutch mechanism based at least in part on the differential locking force and the differential slip speed; (iii) detecting a differential overtemperature event during which the internal temperature of the clutch mechanism exceeds a first critical temperature threshold; and (iv) in response to detecting the differential overtemperature event, performing at least one differential overtemperature action.
