An electrode (10) for an electrochemical storage cell includes a conductive film (12) and an electrode coating (14) applied to the conductive film (12). The conductor film (12) has a first section (20) and a second section (22) adjoining the first section (20) in the longitudinal direction of the conductor film (12), and a side edge (24) which extends beyond the first section (20) and the second section (22) from a first end (16) of the conductor film (12) to a second end (18) of the conductor film (12) opposite in the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, the conductor film (12) has a plurality of conductor connections (26) starting from the side edge (24) for electrically contacting the electrode (10), the conductor connections (26) being arranged in a first section (20) of the conductor film (12), and the first section (20) extending from the first end (16) of the conductor film (12) up to the centre of the side edge (24).
