The method comprises the following steps: decomposing a low-illumination image into an illumination image and a reflection image; performing adaptive illumination adjustment on the illumination map based on an adaptive illumination adjustment method of frequency domain characteristics to obtain an adjusted illumination map; based on the distribution independence of noise on the image, performing noise suppression on the adjusted illumination image to obtain a noise-suppressed illumination image; based on the distribution independence of noise on the image, noise suppression is carried out on the reflection image, and a reflection image after noise suppression is obtained; and fusing the illuminance image after noise suppression and the illuminance image after noise suppression to obtain an enhanced low-illuminance image.
