Extended range energy cabin (REEP) for aircraft

An energy source for an aircraft includes an enclosure, an engine, a generator, and at least one fuel tank configured to provide fuel to the engine; and an electrical connector for outputting the power generated by the generator to at least one electrical component or electrical bus of the aircraft.
