Wettability additives for lithium ion batteries

A battery cell comprising a cathode comprising a cathode active material; an anode comprising an anode active material; and an electrolyte comprising a non-aqueous polar solvent, a lithium salt, and (R3SiO) 3P (O), (R3SiO) 3P, or a mixture of any two or more thereof; wherein: R is a C1 to C4 alkyl group; the cathode active material having an areal density of at least 10 mg/cm2 and a compacted density of at least 1.7 g/cc; the anode active material having an areal density of at least 5 mg/cm2 and a compacted density of at least 1.3 g/cc; and the electrical conductivity of the cathode and/or anode is increased compared to the same cell that does not contain the (R3SiO) 3P (O), the (R3SiO) 3P, or the mixture of any two or more thereof. 一种电池单元，该电池单元包括包含阴极活性材料的阴极；包含阳极活性材料的阳极；以及包含非水极性溶剂、锂盐和(R3SiO)3P(O)、(R3SiO)3P或它们中的任何两种或更多种的混合物的电解质；其中：R为C1至C4烷基；该阴极活性材料具有至少10mg/cm2的面密度和至少1.7g/cc的压实密度；该阳极活性材料具有至少5mg/cm2的面密度和至少1.3g/cc的压实密度；并且与不含该(R3SiO)3P(O)、该(R3SiO)3P或它们中的任何两种或更多种的该混合物的相同电池单元相比，该阴极和/或阳极的电导率增加。
