The tetracyclic sesterterpene compound synthetic gene cluster is derived from fusarium oxysporum 14005, the gene cluster contains six genes which are respectively a gene fomdE for coding sesterterpene synthase FoMS or a functional equivalent of the gene fomdE, genes fomdA, fomdC and fomdD for coding cytochrome P450 enzymes fomdA, fomdC and fomdD and functional equivalent of the gene fomdA, fomdC and fomdD, and a gene fomdB for coding aldehyde ketoreductase fomdB or a functional equivalent of the gene fomdB. And a gene fomdF encoding the hydrolase fomdF or a functional equivalent thereof. The Mangcols gene cluster disclosed by the invention is catalyzed to generate a new tetracyclic sesterterpenoid compound, so that a valuable lead compound resource is provided for enriching a natural product compound library and discovering new antibiotics.
