Drainage protector

A drain protector includes a basket and a wiper. The basket includes a basket body having a first water opening. The basket body includes a seal at an upper first end and a retention member at a lower second end. The basket body is sized to be received in an associated drainage device, the seal is for directly sealingly engaging an outer surface of the associated drainage device, and the retention member is for directly engaging an inner surface of the associated drainage device. The wiper includes a wiper body having a second water opening.
