Zusammenfassung: | An ultrasound portable system (10) and method includes acquiring ultrasound images on a portion of an ultrasound scanning protocol and/or ultrasound examination via a smart device (14) and an ultrasound probe (20), and presenting at least one acquired ultrasound image in an image space portion (24) of a display (16). Digital images of at least the head posture of the device operator and the left and right eyes within the respective digital images are acquired via a camera (18). An eye gaze focus position on the smart device is determined within a combination of image space and control space (26) portions of the display via an image processing frame (36) configured to track a gaze of the device operator and eye movement determined from the acquired digital image. The method further comprises performing a control function, a selection of a control function, and/or a function to assist in the selection of diagnostic measurements based on at least one of the determined eye gaze focus positions.
