Zusammenfassung: | Techniques for bifurcated memory management for memory elements are disclosed. In one aspect, a memory element includes a self-managing portion and a portion managed by a remote host. Software requiring low latency access may be stored in the portion of the memory element managed by the remote host, and other software may be stored in the portion of the memory element managed by the memory element. By providing such bifurcated memory management of memory elements, relatively inexpensive memory elements may be used to store software while allowing low latency (although at low throughput) access to sensitive software elements with minimal bus logic.
