Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method for detecting the depth of a reinforcing layer of a bearing steel ball, and belongs to the technical field of workpiece measurement. The detection method comprises the following steps: removing part of the surface of the steel ball to obtain a to-be-detected plane, testing the microhardness change of the steel ball from outside to inside on the to-be-detected plane, and determining the position where the microhardness is changed into a change-free position, thereby determining the depth of the reinforcing layer of the bearing steel ball. According to the detection method, the depth of the surface strengthening layer of the bearing steel ball can be effectively obtained, a basis is provided for better selecting proper steel, formulating a heat treatment process and a strengthening process and prolonging the service life of the bearing steel ball, and the detection method has the advantages of being easy to operate, high in universality, good in detection effect and low in cost
