Injection pump system

The invention relates to an injection pump system. A method for expelling fluid from a syringe and for mitigating an occlusion condition includes actuating a piston of the syringe into a syringe barrel. The method monitors a fluid pressure within a barrel of the syringe and determines that an occlusion is present when the fluid pressure exceeds a predetermined threshold.
