Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a water dispenser and a control method thereof.The water dispenser comprises a dispenser body, a first induction part and a second induction part, the dispenser body is provided with a water outlet part and a water receiving part, and the water receiving part is arranged below the water outlet part to place a water receiving container; the first sensing piece is arranged on the machine body and used for sensing whether a water receiving container exists between the water outlet part and the water receiving part or not; the second induction piece is arranged on the water receiving part and is used for inducting the weight change on the water receiving part; and when the first sensing piece senses that the water receiving container exists, the weight of the water receiving container is detected through the second sensing piece.
