The method comprises the steps of obtaining a rice image, cutting the rice image, then performing edge detection, performing vein extraction and leaf edge calculation, calculating the brightness of the vein, obtaining previous rice environment monitoring data, judging the rice growth vigor according to the leaf growth speed, the leaf age period and the current rice environment monitoring data, and determining the rice growth vigor according to the rice growth vigor. An analytic hierarchy process is utilized to make intelligent cultivation decisions for the rice farmland, and the intelligent decisions comprise plant protection, fertilization and irrigation.
