According to the method, the total flavonoids are extracted by treating the gordon euryale seed shells with the eutectic solvent in cooperation with the ultrasonic waves, the extraction amount of the total flavonoids in the gordon euryale seed shells is effectively increased, and the yield of the total flavonoids is increased. The result of the embodiment shows that the yield of the total flavonoids in the gordon euryale seed shells can reach 7.6% by optimizing the types of the eutectic solvents, the component molar ratio, the water content, the liquid-material ratio of the total system and the ultrasonic power and time in the process of treating the gordon euryale seed shells in cooperation with the eutectic solvents and the ultrasonic waves.
