A scroll compressor (10) is provided with a housing (11) and a compression mechanism (13). A compression chamber (33) is formed in the compression mechanism (13). An intermediate pressure chamber (61) is formed in the housing (11). A refrigerant having an intermediate pressure, which is higher than the suction pressure of the refrigerant sucked into the compression chamber (33) and lower than the discharge pressure of the refrigerant discharged from the compression chamber (33), is introduced from the external refrigerant circuit (26) to the intermediate pressure chamber (61). The intermediate pressure chamber (61) and the compression chamber (33) during compression are connected by an injection passage (80).
