Zusammenfassung: | The invention belongs to the technical field of agricultural biology, and particularly relates to a rice drought tolerance related transcription factor OsMDR as well as a coding gene and application thereof. The amino acid sequence of the rice drought tolerance related transcription factor OsMDR is as shown in SEQ ID No: 1. The overexpression of the OsMDR reduces the drought tolerance correlation of the transgenic rice in different development stages, and changes the physiological indexes related to stress tolerance, so that the overall physiological level of cells is not beneficial to drought tolerance, and the expression quantity of the drought tolerance related marker gene is reduced. Therefore, the OsMDR gene in rice can negatively regulate the drought tolerance of the plant, and can be used for cultivating drought-tolerant related varieties of crops.
