The method comprises the following steps: constructing an instance dependency graph of a micro-service system based on tracking information to obtain multi-modal event expressions of instances; based on the instance dependency graph, part of non-root-cause nodes are randomly inactivated, and an augmented data set is obtained; feature aggregation is carried out on the instance dependency graph based on a graph neural network, a multi-modal graph-level fault expression is obtained, and task-oriented learning and cross-modal association construction are carried out on the multi-modal graph-level fault expression; and based on graph-level fault expression, two fault diagnosis tasks of root cause positioning and fault classification are jointly learned, and a final fault root cause ranking and a fault type are obtained.
