Biopolymer compositions containing additives

The present invention relates to a novel composition comprising (A) 65 to 99.4 wt.% of a biopolymer, the biopolymer is selected from the group consisting of polylactic acid (PLA), polybutylene succinate (PBS), polybutylene succinate-butylene adipate (PBSA), thermoplastic starch (TPS), polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), polybutylene adipate-butylene terephthalate (PBAT), polybutylene sebacate-butylene terephthalate (PBST), polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB), polycaprolactone (PCL), cellophane (CA) and mixtures thereof; (B) 0.5 to 30 wt.% of a homopolymer, copolymer or terpolymer based on vinyl acetate; and (C) 0.1 to 5 wt.% of organopolysiloxane particles comprising (1) 100 parts by weight of at least one polyorganosiloxane from units of general formula RrSiO (4-r/2) (I) wherein R is the same or different and represents a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon residue and r represents 0, 1, 2 or 3, with the proviso that the average value of r is in the range of 1.9 to 2.1; (2) 1 to 200 parts by weight of a reinforcing or no
