Ethylene diamine and 1, 2-dichloropropane are used as main reaction raw materials, halogen groups are hydrolyzed into hydroxyl groups under an alkaline condition, the hydroxyl groups and amino groups are further subjected to nucleophilic reaction to generate 2-methylpiperazine and water, and the product complexity is low, so that the purification process is simple, the reaction steps are simple, the reaction conditions are mild, the requirements on reaction equipment are low, and the potential safety hazard of safety production is low; the purity of the 2-methylpiperazine prepared by the preparation method provided by the invention can reach 83.3%-99.6%, and the yield of the 2-methylpiperazine prepared by the preparation method provided by the invention is 76%-89.0%.
