BIOSTIMULATOR WITH A HINGE

Biostimulators and biostimulator systems for spaced pacing are described. The biostimulator includes a hinge to allow the electrode axis of the pacing electrode to be differently oriented from the housing axis of the housing. The housing contains circuitry electrically connected to the pacing electrodes. When the housing of the biostimulator is located near the apex of the heart, the axes of different directions allow the pacing electrodes to be secured to the target tissue of the ventricular septal wall of the heart. The hinge may include a flexible portion of the extension, a hinge, or a tether.
