Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses a device for replacing a core rod of a glass powder rod and a rod replacing method thereof. The core rod replacing device for the glass powder rod comprises a supporting base, a first positioning support, a second positioning support, a core rod supporting seat and a core rod driving mechanism, the first positioning support, the second positioning support and the core rod supporting seat are all installed on the supporting base, the second positioning support and the core rod supporting seat are both connected with the supporting base in a sliding mode, and the core rod driving mechanism is installed on the supporting base. The first positioning support and the second positioning support are each provided with a positioning assembly used for positioning a glass powder rod, the core rod supporting base is provided with a rod grabbing clamping jaw used for grabbing a core rod, and the core rod driving mechanism is connected with the core rod supporting base so as to drive the core rod su
