The invention discloses an elevator car lighting control method which comprises the following steps: step S1, monitoring whether the fault proportion of a lighting appliance in a car exceeds a preset damage threshold value or not according to a preset time period, if so, entering step S2, and otherwise, returning to step S1; and S2, a lighting device in the lift car is controlled to enter a fault informing mode, and the lighting device is controlled to conduct lighting in a non-constant-light mode in the fault informing mode.
