The invention provides a preparation method of disperse blue 60 and derivatives thereof, which comprises the following steps: a condensation reaction step: in the presence of an organic amine compound and/or monohydric alcohol, carrying out condensation reaction on 1, 4-diamino-2, 3-dicarboximide anthraquinone and gamma-alkoxy propylamine to obtain a condensation reaction product; a dilution step: diluting the condensation reaction product with dilution water to obtain a diluted product; and a crystallization step: crystallizing the condensation reaction product to obtain the disperse blue 60 and the derivative thereof.
