Zusammenfassung:The invention discloses a heterogeneous catalyst for preparing methyl propionate through ethylene hydromethyl esterification and a method for using the catalyst, and more specifically, the heterogeneous catalyst is formed by loading a transition metal component on a phosphine functionalized polymer carrier, wherein the phosphine functionalized polymer is formed by polymerizing a bidentate phosphine ligand monomer containing a benzene ring through a Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction and has a large specific surface area and a hierarchical pore structure, the transition metal component is Pd metal, and the content of the transition metal component is 0.1-10.0% based on the total weight of the catalyst. The preparation method of the catalyst is simple, the catalyst has specificity for generating methyl propionate through ethylene hydromethyl esterification, the selectivity of methyl propionate reaches up to 100%, the heterogeneous catalyst is good in stability, the reaction process and device are simple, and th
