The biological material is an expression cassette containing the CrUGT72B3 gene, a recombinant vector, a recombinant bacterium or a transgenic cell line, and the sequence of the CrUGT72B3 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO. 1. According to the application disclosed by the invention, salt tolerance evaluation is carried out on arabidopsis thaliana seeds and seedlings in which the CrUGT72B3 gene is overexpressed, and the fact that the salt sensitivity of arabidopsis thaliana is improved by the CrUGT72B3 gene is found.
