Zusammenfassung:The present specification discloses a wire rod for graphitization heat treatment and a graphitic steel, whereby the graphitization heat treatment time is greatly reduced and fine grain graphite is uniformly distributed in a matrix during the graphitization heat treatment. According to one embodiment, the disclosed wire rod for graphitization heat treatment comprises, in weight percent: 0.65% to 0.85% of C; from 2.00% to 3.00% of Si; from 0.15% to 0.35% of Mn; from 0.005% to 0.1% of Ti; 0.01% or less of N; 0.0005% or less of B; 0.05% or less of P; 0.05% or less of S; and a remainder of Fe and unavoidable impurities, in which the values of the following formula (1) satisfy-1 to 1 (inclusive), and the microstructure may contain, in area fraction, 40% or less of ferrite, a total of 5% or less of bainite and martensite, and a remainder of pearlite.
