Zusammenfassung: | A system for device diagnostics of an aerosol-generating device and a charging device associated with the aerosol-generating device is disclosed. The system comprises: a near field communication module, the near field communication module comprising a nonvolatile memory; and a control unit. The control unit is configured to receive an indication of an error occurrence and update an error data log stored in the non-volatile memory by storing an error data entry associated with the error occurrence to the error data log. The error data entry is configured to be read by an external device even if the device including the near field communication module is not powered.
