The backlight module comprises a light source and a divergence membrane located on the light emitting side of the light source, the divergence membrane is used for increasing the emitting angle of emergent light, more light in the emergent light of the backlight module is large-angle light, and therefore the brightness of the side view angle of the display device is improved. 本发明公开了一种显示装置，包括：背光模组和显示装置。背光模组包括光源以及位于光源出光侧的发散膜片，发散膜片用于增大出射光线的出射角度，从而使背光模组的出射光线中有更多的光线为大角度光线，由此提升显示装置侧视角度的亮度。
