Zusammenfassung: | The invention provides a control device and a control method for an internal combustion engine. An internal combustion engine includes a port injection valve, an in-cylinder injection valve, and a supercharger. The internal combustion engine is controlled such that the ratio of the amount of fuel injected from the port injection valve to the total amount of fuel to be combusted once in the cylinder is set as a port injection ratio. When a condition is satisfied that is in an operation state in which a supercharger performs supercharging and that is in an engine operation range in which a valve overlap period is larger than zero, a port injection ratio is set to be smaller than when the condition is not satisfied, and a timing at which fuel is injected from a port injection valve is delayed.
