Zusammenfassung: | A method for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication between a remote control device including a peripheral BLE device and a controller on a material handling vehicle including a central BLE device is provided. The method includes polling by a central BLE device via a plurality of connection event requests delivered by a peripheral BLE device paired with the central BLE device using the central BLE device. The peripheral BLE device includes one or more activatable switches. Based on a state of the one or more activatable switches, the peripheral BLE device sends a reply message to at least a portion of the plurality of connection requests according to at least one of the first communication mode of operation or the second communication mode of operation. When operating in the first communication mode of operation, the peripheral BLE device replies only a portion of the plurality of connection requests, where each reply message indicates a state of the one or more activatable switches.
