The method comprises the steps of collecting an equipment image of equipment to be recognized through a camera deployed in a transformer substation; performing image analysis on the equipment image of the to-be-identified equipment to obtain an equipment image texture feature; and based on the equipment image texture features, determining whether the appearance of the to-be-identified equipment is damaged or not.
