A laser cutting head with a movable mirror may be used to move a beam, for example, to provide beam alignment and/or to provide different wobble patterns to cut with different cut widths. The laser cutting head includes a cutting nozzle for directing a laser beam along with a gas to a workpiece for cutting. The movable mirror provides a rocking motion of the light beam within a relatively small field of view, e.g., within an aperture of a cutting nozzle. The movable mirror may be a galvanometer mirror that can be controlled by a control system that includes a galvanometer controller.
